First of all, the BIRDIE SHOT staff would like to thank everyone for the love you have given us for the past two months.

Since BIRDIE SHOT’s official release, we have received countless valuable feedback through various communication channels.

We have been working tirelessly to prepare new contents for upcoming updates and to enhance the overall player experience.

In this ‘Developers’ Note’ we’d like to answer some of the most burning questions you might have about the future of BIRDIE SHOT.

We at METABORA know that such communication from our part is long overdue. We would have liked to have reached out to you earlier, but carefully assessing the situation both inside and outside our control while discussing realistic solutions took some more time than expected. We thank you for your understanding and patience.

[The Present Situation]

1. During the first weeks of the game’s launch, dealing with the large number of hackers and abusers became our number 1 priority. We released a series of updates to address this issue, but allocating time to the development of these updates meant that BIRDIE SHOT’s roadmap had to undergo some changes.

2. 2022 has been an eventful year for the crypto community. The NFT and crypto currency market took severe hits from a number of unexpected incidents. BIRDIE SHOT was also affected by the current market situation.

3. Instead of sticking to the original schedule, we are planning large changes to the game to overcome the current obstacles and ensure the longevity of our game, which means that some of the promised updates (such as the Near-pin Mode scheduled for November) have to be pushed back to a later date. We apologize for the delay and promise you that new contents will be added in the near future.

[Removing Hurdles for New Players]

1. The way BIRDIE SHOT’s APK is distributed (through our brand page) is proving to be too much of a hurdle for new players, especially for those who are accustomed to downloading and installing games from major app markets.

2. We are working to remove such hurdles by tweaking the game’s distribution and content structure. This might mean some features mentioned in the roadmap might become impossible to implement due to the influence they might have on tokenomics when combined with such tweaks.

[Providing New Content and Improving Old Content]

1. The Near-pin Mode is currently in development. We apologize once more for the delay.

2. A new 1 vs 1 mode is also being developed. The way it is played will be similar to how BORA Cup is played, but you will be able to earn Gold as rewards based on your ranking. Unlike in Extreme Mode, which requires up to 4 people to play, it will be easier to find opponents in this 1 vs 1 mode.

3. A new ‘lucky-box’ item will be added. This item can be purchased with Gold and will provide various items that will help enhance your team. 

4. A fraction of the earnings from new contents will be distributed to CC NFT holders.

[BORA Cup]

1. BORA Cup is meant to be a special event mode that provides a different type of fun for all players. Through the Pre-open Cup, we have confirmed which technical/operational revisions must be made to BORA Cup.

2. We are planning to adjust BORA Cup’s rules and schedule to accommodate the new app distribution method and to make it a more relevant part of the BIRDIE SHOT experience (and not just a short-lived event):

① Change in starting time : December 2022 → Q1 2023

   - BORA Cup is delayed because providing a more approachable app distribution method and allowing more players to participate in the event takes precedence

② Change to a seasonal structure : 1st/2nd/3rd BORA Cup → BORA Cup 1st/2nd/3rd Season

   - Each season will hold multiple BORA Cup competitions, without changing the total prize amount

③ Change in the total duration : 3 Months → 9 Months (estimated)

④ Change in rules : The number of times one can participate each day and some rule details may change

[Plans for the Future]

We apologize again for having to make changes to our roadmap and the BORA Cup schedule.

We will continuously work hard to make BIRDIE SHOT more approachable and enjoyable by adopting a new app distribution method and new in-game contents.

Before these changes take place, we will keep adding new World Tour Tiers, provide more in-game events and hold various tie-up promotions. While it is difficult for us to reveal concrete dates for contents still in development, we assure you that we are doing our best to bring you exciting new content as fast as possible.
