You can equip and unequip items through the Bag menu.

Click the Bag icon at the top of the screen, 

then double-click the item you want to equip.

To unequip, double-click the equipped item.

If you obtain higher-level equipment from AUTO Battle or quests, 

the equip screen will temporarily appear in the center of the screen for you to check.
